The Altar Society's mission is to provide for the liturgical needs of the altar and clean the altar each week. Saint Helena Altar Society has traditionally been made up of women parishioners who have supplied candles, priest and altar server albs and vestments, abos, statues, altar cloths, purificators, patens, lectionary, vessels, The Book of the Gospels, tabernacle needs, sacramental wine, and hosts for the liturgical celebrations. They fund these altar needs with annual dues, fund raisers, and donations. In addition, they also assist other parish ministries when asked.

These dedicated women serve with love for God, their Catholic faith, and fellow parishioners. Monthly meetings are held each second Monday of the month at 6 p.m., which includes a business agenda and fellowship. All women of the parish, young and not-so-young, are welcome and encouraged to join this group as it offers an avenue for them to serve, and helps families maintain a connection with parish activities. For more information, please call the parish office.
