St. Helena Parish has grown from a small group of Catholics celebrating the Mass with a Franciscan missionary in a tin shack in the summer of 1930. The tin shack has been replaced with a church and four adjacent buildings. The parish is now one of two Catholic churches in Hobbs in southeastern New Mexico and serves over 1600 households. St. Helena School has preschool through sixth grades and is fully accredited.

UNITED IN MINISTRY

Thank you to everyone who made a donation or pledge in support of United in Ministry last weekend.  We still have another $21,000 to go to meet our designated goal.  We need the help of all parishioners.

Envelopes will be in the pews for the next few weekends.  Please take one if you have not yet made a pledge, fill it out and return it to the office or in the collection basket.

Also please remember to pray for vocations, one of the many ministries helped by the United in Ministry campaign.  Thank you again to everyone who helped make our effort such a success.
